In battle, people have the option to Terastallize their Pokemon. One of the main new mechanics in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet surrounds the Terastal Phenomenon. Players can get ride together on their Koraidon or Miraidon and travel Paldea together, though they can also choose to go do their own way as well. The new Pokemon Scarlet and Violet deep dive feature also recapped the big new feature of 4-player online co-op that was revealed in June. The order is completely up to for players to decide. Through it, players embark on three main storylines and one of them consists of traveling to eight Pokemon Gyms across the Paldea region to battle the Gym Leaders. What academy players attend depends on which version of the game they purchase. Each of them retain their motif of taking a more animalistic or automotive approach during traversal.
